December 6: Not in Range

Read 1 Peter 5:6-11

Some weeks ago when I was in Mexico I was trying to connect my tablet to the hotel Wi-fi. As I went to my “settings” to find the hotel network I found that every other place I had connected before appeared as “Not in Range.”  Not surprising, considering I was almost 2000 miles from home.

But one of the lines called my attention. It was our church’s network.  It simply read: “Grace – Not in Range”  My immediate reaction was to say: “No, I am not. I am not out of God’s Grace Range”

It doesn’t matter how far I go, I know that His Grace still reaches me.

During this same week my wife was in Brazil visiting family, and going through some very stressful situations.  One day she was able to connect to her Facebook and she found a note from a friend saying she liked what my wife had posted.  Not remembering having posted anything, she went to check her home page.  To her surprise, she found posted there the words from I Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

After your goose bumps go away, I believe you will agree with me: we can never be “Not in Range” of His Grace.
